Software License Model
Single-User / Workstation License
This software is provided as a single-user license. The license permits the use of the software on exactly one specific device, for example one computer, notebook or comparable workstation.
The license key is generated on the basis of the hardware/system ID of the target computer. This hardware/system ID is bound to the specific hardware and system environment. Therefore, the software cannot be used in licensed form on another device or in a substantially modified system environment.
If the hardware or system environment relevant for licensing is changed, the existing license key loses its validity.
Replacing or changing the CPU, mainboard, system hard drive/system drive or Windows version is considered a change of the licensed system environment. In this case, the previous license expires and a new license is required.
In particular, the license is no longer valid if any of the following are changed or replaced:
- CPU / processor
- Mainboard
- System hard drive or system drive
- Windows version or operating system installation
- Computer, notebook or other target device
- Virtual machine or essential virtualization settings
Even if the software is still technically present after such a change, there is no entitlement to continued operation of the existing license key or to reactivation of the license.
Transfer of the license to another device or to a changed hardware/system environment is not included in the single-user license. In such cases, a new license is generally required.
The software may be used both privately and commercially, provided that it is used exclusively on the originally licensed device and within the originally licensed hardware/system environment.
